Support Groups

All our meetings are open to family members and carers of an autistic child or young person.

You are welcome to come along to any of our support groups as you wish and you do not have to attend regularly

There is plenty of available free parking, but a contribution of £2 to the branch towards the cost of beverages and hiring the room will be required.

Some feedback about our support groups:

"Families with children who have a disability or additonal needs have considerable concerns and often need a great deal of information: information about the disability of their child, about school services, local policies, funding sources, transportation, medical facilities, and much more.

Many parents and carers find it very useful to join our support groups, where they can meet other families with similar needs. Support groups can serve many purposes, but primarily they offer parents a place and a means to share information, give and receive emotional support, and work as a team to address common concerns.

The group sometimes invites speakers who are experts on a wide variety of topics to attend their meetings. This information is invaluable for "new families" who have just learned of their child's disability and continues to be useful to families as their needs change through the years."

Our current support groups are held at the Jubilee Ctr, Bradley Stoke Bristol. BS34 8HL.  Daytime Support is held the third Wednesday of every month 10am til 12pm and the Evening Support is held the first Tuesday of every month 7pm til 9pm.  Both support groups are run by the Branch Chair Donna Jones

Come along and meet us, we are a friendly group who love to chat and drink coffee.
